  2.  Who is Zane?

  5. I'm an 18-year-old male Singaporean student of a local
  6. polytechnic. Composing and transcribing music is my major
  7. hobby. My legal Chinese name is "He Minwei" (i.e. HMW)
  8. and "Zane" and "Kerry Ho" are my aliases.
  9.  
  10. I had been one of the first few Singaporean MOD makers back
  11. in late 1991 when MODEdit 2.00 by Norman Lin was available.
  12. That was the first editor I used and the player then was
  13. still MODPlay 2.19b by Mark Cox. Most of my creations then
  14. were Mandarin/Chinese pop music transcriptions as you can
  15. see from the somewat unpronunciable song names of some of
  16. my zaks then. Today, the PC music scene has advanced
  17. greatly. Now we could do 16-channels on ScreamTracker 3.01
  18. beta by Future Crew, and again I was one of the first few
  19. who started making S3Ms in Singapore, though the program
  20. was already available here for a few weeks.

  22. Now a bit about my musical taste...
  23.  
  24. I've had 8 years of classical piano training but
  25. my taste is quite diverse, including new age, classical,
  26. rock, (fusion) jazz, pop ballads, techno/rave, house and
  27. many others...
  28.  
  29. Although most of my creations are actually transcriptions,
  30. I've been trying to compose a few zaks of my own. My first
  31. being "Meditation" and my favourite "Wishes". I'll
  32. certainly continue to create more of these for the fun and
  33. satisfaction and of coz, to bring nice muzak to all of you
  34. out there.
